Tournament Dates

Each Host Club will determine its Qualifier date anytime from May through August. (Some exceptions may be made in April and September).   Advancing teams will play in the Finals in Mid-October, 2009, on the Walt Disney World Golf Resort Courses of the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, Orlando, FL.

Purse & Prizes

The 2009 World Scramble Championship Finals will have an Optional Cash Purse estimated to be approximately $50,000 - $100,000 based upon approximately 25% of the Finals Fee. Players may elect to participate in the Optional Cash Purse, limit their winnings to a maximum of $750 in gift certificates, designate a 3rd party to receive any proceeds, or donate their winnings to Tee It Up For The Troops.

Gross & Net Brackets

The top 5-10 teams from each of the Gross and Net brackets at the Finals will participate in the purse. The Purse and Prizes will increase or decrease depending upon the actual number of players participating in the qualifying rounds. (e.g., 2000 players=$50,000, 3500 players=$100,000, 5000 players=$150,000, etc). Clubs are encouraged to create additional prizes at each qualifying round, e.g., add $10 per player for pro shop gift certificates to the winners along with food and awards afterwards, plus additional efforts on the part of the club and members to create donations for Tee It Up For the Troops.

Player Entry Fees: ($95 Per Player)

In prior years, players were required to pay and advance through both a local round ($55) and regional round ($75) for a total of $130. In 2008, there will only be one qualifying round ($95). Players will pay the $95 World Scramble entry fee to the Host Club. The Pro’s will retain $10 of the $95 for their incentive compensation and / or local prizes. Each Club will then additionally charge the players any applicable cart and/or greens fee the day of the event. (e.g. $95 World Scramble Fee + $35 Club Fee = $130 Total). Each local Club Pro will responsible for deciding what to provide for their local tee gifts, awards party and prizes. The Finals entry fee is expected to be approximately $395 per person, but may increase or decrease depending on actual Finals costs, and includes 3-rounds.

Finals Event

Includes 3 rounds of Golf on 3 Walt Disney World Different Courses, Pairings Party, Putting and Chipping Challenges, Team Skins, Hole-in-One prizes, Honorary 1st Tee Off, and Awards Party. Players will additionally receive an array of player tee gifts and prizes. The total combined score from all three days will determine the Finals top finishing teams for both the Gross and Net Brackets. Two teams (5-somes) will be paired together and play each hole as a 10-some to ensure scoring integrity and to create new friendships and rivalries. Travel and lodging arrangements are up to each individual team. Preferred accommodations and pricing is being arranged with Walt Disney World for World Scramble 2009 participants and their guests/families.
